OREANDA-NEWS  Lithuania has no information about Russia's possible preparations for an attack on the Baltic states. The chief Adviser to the President of Lithuania on national security issues, Deivydas Matulenis, made an unexpected statement, Delfi reports.

"We have no specific information that would indicate that Russia is preparing for any conventional attack on the Baltic states," he said.

At the same time, the official urged the authorities of the Baltic countries to remain vigilant, as "the situation is always quite dynamic and can change quickly."

Earlier, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, issued a frightening warning to Lithuania. According to him, Lithuania may "disappear from the world map."
