OREANDA-NEWS  President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko demanded that the forestry industry increase logging as soon as possible. During his visit to the Logoi district, he pointed out the need to take a share in foreign markets, BelTA has learned.

"We must hurry, we must do it faster. In any case, do not relax. Because you will occupy the markets that are being vacated faster," he stressed.

According to the head of state, there will be no difficulties in sending people to logging, because they are hard workers and want to work themselves. "We just need to talk to them, explain and, of course, pay," Lukashenko explained.

The president ordered "to do it quickly and work as much as necessary." Speaking about cooperation with foreign countries, he recalled that Belarus had previously agreed with Oman to build a pulp and cardboard mill on its territory.

Earlier, Lukashenko demanded to increase potato production in the country, for which the government needs to find markets over the winter and determine the locations for the acreage.
