OREANDA-NEWS  President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko expressed outrage at the non-appearance of the national team of the country at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

"The World Cup is underway. I didn't notice our players there. Or am I just not watching the World Cup well? There are no ours anywhere near there," he said.

Lukashenko called himself a "former football player" who gets scared when comparing Belarusian football with the game that is shown at the World Cup.

The Belarusian national team failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup, taking last place in the qualifying group with Belgium, Wales, the Czech Republic and Estonia.
