OREANDA-NEWS  French President Emmanuel Macron has called an emergency meeting due to mass protests by high school students taking place in different cities of the country. This is reported by BFMTV.

"Tonight, Emmanuel Macron will discuss the current situation with several ministers, including Prime Minister Sebastien Lecorny and Minister of National Education Edouard Geffre," the TV channel reports.

Earlier, the Lecorniu office admitted that the left-wing party "Recalcitrant France" could have ignited the protests of schoolchildren.

On October 2, it became known that in France, law enforcement officers detained 600 people in connection with school protests.
