OREANDA-NEWS French President Emmanuel Macron posted a video greeting the participants of the G7 summit to a Russian song. He posted the video on Instagram (a social network banned in Russia; owned by Meta, a recognized extremist organization and banned in the Russian Federation).

The footage shows how the head of the Elysee Palace greets the leaders of the countries to the track "Capybara" by the Russian musician "One Hundred and Personal She is Us" (real name Alexey Pluzhnikov). Among the heroes of the video are British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, US President Donald Trump, as well as other leaders of the G7 countries.

This is not the first time Macron has used a viral song in such videos. In the summer of 2025, the French president also posted footage of the Kananaskis summit, accompanied by the same composition.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky refused Macron's request to stay at the G7 summit. Zelensky also complained to his French counterpart that he had not been able to coordinate a bilateral meeting with the US president.
