OREANDA-NEWS Uzbekistan national team defender Abdukadir Husanov has moved from France to Manchester City, according to the website of the English football club.

The contract with the 20-year-old player runs until the summer of 2029. Khusanov is the first player from Uzbekistan in the history of the English Premier League (Premier League).

Details of the transaction are not provided. According to Transfermarkt, the transfer amount was 40 million euros. Prior to that, the most expensive transfer in the history of Uzbek football was the transfer of Eldor Shomurodov from Genoa to Roma in the 2021/22 season for 19.6 million euros.

Before Lance, Khusainov played for the Belarusian club Energetik-BSU, from where he joined the French club for 100,000 euros in the summer of 2023.
