OREANDA-NEWS  Fast food chain McDonald's is temporarily closing offices in the United States this week, preparing for the announcement of staff cuts as part of a restructuring. This is reported by the Wall Street Journal with reference to the company's statement.

According to the newspaper, key decisions regarding the roles and number of employees in the organization will be announced on April 3. The management also asked its American and some other foreign employees to leave for a remote work format from Monday to Wednesday in order to be able to make personnel decisions "virtually".

In addition, employees were asked to cancel all meetings with suppliers, as well as other partners and colleagues at the company's headquarters.

Earlier it was reported that the former McDonald's chain in Belarus has not yet decided on the name and continues to operate without a brand.
