OREANDA-NEWS  German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, in an interview with ZDF TV channel, allowed the delivery of long-range Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine.

"Of course, this is within the realm of possibility," he replied to a question about sending weapons to Kiev.

At the same time, he recalled that the training of the Ukrainian military in handling missiles can take a long time.

"We've always said, and I've said it myself, that Taurus requires months of military training in Ukraine, and if we use it (weapons. We will deliver it in six months or a year, it will not help Ukraine today," Merz added.

The Taurus KEPD 350/150 is a German—Swedish long-range cruise missile designed to strike highly protected targets without the carrier aircraft entering the enemy's air defense zone.
