OREANDA-NEWS   Moldovan President Maia Sandu announced the complete cessation of cooperation between the country's authorities and the leadership of Russia. She said this on the air of the Moldova-1 TV channel.

The politician noted that during her election campaign, Moldova's ruling Action and Solidarity party supported the development of relations with Russia, but the country's position has changed due to the conflict in Ukraine. "Now relations with the Russian leadership at all levels have been terminated," Sandu said.

She stressed that the priority of Moldova's foreign policy is European integration. "I don't know what the government's plans are, I personally believe that Moldova should become a member of the European Union before the end of this decade," the President of the Republic said.

Earlier, Sandu accused Russia of trying to destabilize the situation in Moldova. She stated that the republic is fighting a hybrid war.
