OREANDA-NEWS The government of Mongolia has published a document defining the types and volumes of livestock and breeding products allowed for import into the country this year, according to the Russian Export Center (part of VEB.RF).

"The list of goods allowed for import includes purebred breeding horses, purebred breeding cattle, sheep, goats, yaks, pigs, chickens, as well as hatching eggs and genetic material of farm animals. In addition, Mongolia plans to import bees in the amount of 15 million bees for further development of beekeeping and use in the pollination process," the report says.

Compared to the previous period, the volume of allocated quotas shows a significant decrease, which is observed annually. This year, as in the previous year, the quota was increased only for thoroughbred breeding horses, purebred breeding cattle, chickens and bull seed. This trend towards a reduction in the volume of imported products has been maintained for several years.

The full text of the document containing detailed information on quotas is available on the information and analytical portal Navigator on Barriers and Market Requirements.
