OREANDA-NEWS   More than 50,000 volunteers will help voters at polling stations across Russia during the upcoming elections, Chairman of the Central Election Commission Ella Pamfilova said on Thursday.

"We have signed an agreement in parallel and are very actively working with the largest platform in the country for volunteer work, "Dobro.rf". And our volunteers register there, these are our young people, with whom we work a lot... They get involved in the electoral process, but at the same time they help people. This year, we have more than 50,000 volunteers from all regions of Russia participating in the project," Pamfilova said, delivering a report on the readiness of the electoral system for the upcoming elections.

On a single voting day in 2026, elections of State Duma deputies of the ninth convocation will be held, as well as direct elections of senior officials in 8 regions of Russia. In total, more than 2.2 thousand campaigns of various levels are planned for EDG-2026, and 20.7 thousand deputy mandates and elected positions are expected to be replaced.

The voting will take place in three days - from September 18 to September 20.
