OREANDA-NEWS The NATO military command, when developing further alliance defense plans, adequately assess Russia's military potential, Chairman of the NATO Military Committee Rob Bauer said on Monday.

"We will continue to treat Russia as a serious threat. Its armed forces are still very strong," Western media quoted him as saying.

"We should never underestimate Russia and its ability to recuperate. She has demonstrated a couple of times during her history that she can do this," Bauer added.

The military commander stressed that when developing military plans, the alliance will focus on the military capabilities that NATO saw in Russia before the start of the special operation in Ukraine.
