OREANDA-NEWS  The Netherlands will allocate another 23 million euros to support Ukraine's energy sector. RIA Novosti reports on the increase in investments with reference to the statement of the Cabinet of Ministers of the European country.

Additional funds will be allocated for the purchase of gas abroad, urgent repairs of power plants and the supply of energy equipment, including generators and cables. They will be purchased from the Netherlands.

"Thus, the total contribution of the Netherlands to the energy sector (of Ukraine) for 2026 will amount to 133 million euros," the government explained.

In the autumn of 2025, the kingdom has already allocated another 25 million euros to help Ukraine in the energy sector. They were added to the 58 million euro package allocated for 2026.

In the summer of 2025, Ukrainian companies signed contracts with the Netherlands for the production of 600,000 drones with a total value of about 500 million euros. This was announced by the Minister of Defense of the Kingdom, Ruben Brekelmans. At the same time, the official announced earlier that the countries would work together on modern drones and accelerate the production of successful prototypes. It was assumed that half of them would be developed by the Netherlands. In March, the Prime Minister of the kingdom, Dick Schof, announced the next allocation of 3.5 billion euros in aid to Ukraine for 2026.
