OREANDA-NEWS Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated about the significant role of Russian citizens who moved to the republic in the economic sphere.

"The economic growth figures for 2022 will be published later. The role of citizens who have moved to Armenia from Russia is very significant," he said. It is assumed that this figure will be 12-13 percent.

According to the Prime Minister, the government planned seven percent economic growth last year. However, the indicators of GDP growth will be higher, Pashinyan added. This year, an increase of 7 percent is envisaged. The politician noted that the authorities should do everything to ensure it.

Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Economy of Armenia, Vahan Kerobyan, announced Yerevan's desire to detain working Russians in the country. According to him, Russian citizens can receive additional benefits from the state. As reported, the indicator of economic activity in the republic in January-October 2022 increased by 14 percent.
