OREANDA-NEWS The skies over the three countries of the Middle East are temporarily closed to aircraft traffic. This is reported by RIA Novosti.
Planes stopped flying over Iran, Iraq and Syria due to the escalation of the military conflict. Israel also stopped accepting and producing airplanes, but three airliners took off from the country's air ports to Budapest, Athens and Eilat. Aircraft are piling up over Jordan.
On the night of June 7-8, Iran launched rockets at Israel. The Iraqi authorities announced the closure of the airspace for 72 hours. Syria announced the closure of the Damascus airport for 12 hours — explosions occurred there from the interception of Iranian missiles.
Earlier, Iran explained that the missile attack on targets in Israel was a response to the violation of the truce after the Islamic Republic had shown restraint for a month. This is the first attack since the ceasefire came into force in April.
