OREANDA-NEWS Poland received the Order of the White Eagle, which was stripped by President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky for glorifying the leaders of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA, recognized in the Russian Federation as extremist and banned). This was announced by the press secretary of Polish President Karol Nawrocki Rafal Leskevich, reports Polsat News.

"Indeed, the order has been returned. We picked him up at the president's office today. The returned order will be deposited with the Department of Awards and Appointments, and, moreover, this particular order will not be awarded to anyone else," he said.

Leskevich added that Poland could not remain indifferent to the fact that Zelensky assigned one of the units of the Ukrainian army the name of criminals from the UPA.

On June 20, Zelensky sent the Order of the White Eagle to Navrotsky by mail, after the Polish leader decided to deprive the president of Ukraine of this award.
