OREANDA-NEWS In November 2023, the cost of the minimum monthly basket of products in Russia increased by 5.3 percent compared to the same month in 2022. This is reported by TASS with reference to Rusprodsoyuz.

A set of meals will cost one citizen at least 5803.4 rubles. The association's calculations included 33 product names, including meat, fish, dairy products, eggs, flour, bread, cereals, sugar and vegetables.

In Moscow, the cost of a minimum grocery basket reaches 6992.6 rubles, in St. Petersburg - 6455.6 rubles. At the same time, the most expensive products in Chukotka are 15,184.6 rubles for one set of meals. In the Magadan region, it costs 10,380.9 rubles. The cheapest grocery basket in the Belgorod region is 4783.9 rubles, as well as in Mordovia — 4795.2 rubles.

In November, chicken eggs rose sharply in price in Russia — an increase of 15.07 percent. At the same time, chicken meat is also becoming more expensive — since the beginning of the year, the product has increased in price by 27 percent, which has caused concern to the authorities.

Earlier, a survey by the Romir research holding showed that almost one in five Russians (19 percent) plans to start saving on food and essential goods. The share of such citizens increased by three percentage points from June to July 2023.
