OREANDA-NEWS The Military Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan has put on the wanted list ex-Presidents of Armenia Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan. This was stated by the head of the Department of special Investigations, Senior adviser to Justice Emil Tagiyev, Haqqin.az reports.

According to him, the reason for the persecution of the former leaders of Armenia was the incitement of ethnic hatred and hatred by them since February 1988, as well as the holding of meetings of workers of Armenian nationality in organizations and institutions in Nagorno-Karabakh.

"Since they propagandize that Karabakh belongs to Armenians and only Armenians should live in it, and also call for the eviction of Azerbaijanis from this territory, the burning of their homes, they were brought to criminal responsibility under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code and put on the wanted list," Tagiyev explained.

Earlier, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev called the condition for concluding a peace agreement with Armenia. He stated that it should be signed on the basis of international norms of law and principles with the condition of mutual recognition of the territorial integrity of the countries, and urged Azerbaijanis not to forget "about the atrocities committed by the Armenians".
