OREANDA-NEWS  Russian President Vladimir Putin called the proposal to postpone the repayment of the regions' debt on budget loans from 2026 to a later date a good thing.

Putin on Monday held a meeting with Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko, during which, among other things, a meeting of the Council of Legislators was discussed.

"Transferring preferential loans to the regions is also a good thing," the president said at the meeting.
