OREANDA-NEWS  The ownership of the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that crashed in Romania cannot be established without an expert examination. This was stated to journalists in Astana by Russian President Vladimir Putin, RIA Novosti reports.

"No one can say what the origin of this or that aircraft is until an examination of this aircraft has been carried out," the Russian leader said.

Putin stressed that Russia is ready to conduct an objective investigation of the incident and assess what happened if the wreckage of the fallen drone is handed over to it.

Earlier, a drone crashed into a high-rise building in the Romanian city of Galac, located near the border with the Odessa region. The Romanian Emergency Response Service clarified that an apartment on the tenth floor caught fire as a result of a UAV strike on a residential building. The Romanian Foreign Ministry blamed Russia for the incident.
