OREANDA-NEWS  Russian President Vladimir Putin is waiting for proposals from the government on additional measures aimed at restoring Russia's economic growth.

Earlier on Wednesday, he noted that the Russian economy has been declining for two months now, by a combined 1.8% in January-February. At the same time, the dynamics of the manufacturing industry and construction went into negative territory, the president added.

"I am waiting for proposals on additional measures aimed at resuming the growth of the domestic economy, supporting business initiatives and improving the employment structure in favor of industries with more efficient jobs where high added value is generated," he said at a meeting on economic issues.
