OREANDA-NEWS Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed Rostec to increase production of the Cube and Lancet drones.
"The manufacturers promised me that they would increase the amount of production. They are coping with this promise, but we need to increase more," he said at a meeting with the head of Rostec, Sergey Chemezov.
Putin noted the high efficiency of these drones. "The blow is powerful, any equipment, including foreign-made, does not just burn, but ammunition also explodes," he noted.
At a meeting with Chemezov, the head of state said that the state corporation needs to "increase the production of the latest weapons in percentage terms."
He explained that he was talking, in particular, about the T-90 "Breakthrough" tanks and aircraft complexes.
"Cube" and "Lancet" are small-sized "kamikaze drones". Such drones are also called "barrage ammunition" - in fact, it is a projectile that makes a long controlled flight over the battlefield and explodes after reaching the target.
