OREANDA-NEWS  By his decree, Russian President Vladimir Putin relieved Andrei Kelin of his duties as Russia's ambassador to Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The relevant decree has been published on the official Internet portal of legal information.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova reported that Kelin had completed his work as Russian ambassador to Britain as planned, and the appointment of a new head of the diplomatic mission would be announced at the appropriate moment.

Kelin has held this post since 2019.
