OREANDA-NEWS  Rostec is working with China on an advanced new-generation heavy helicopter, and its entry into the market will be a sensation, Viktor Kladov, director of international Cooperation at the state corporation, told RIA Novosti.

"We, together with the Chinese company Avicopter (a division of China Aviation Industry Corporation (AVIC) - ed.), are currently working on an advanced heavy helicopter of a new generation, it is under development, it will be a helicopter heavier than the Mi-171, but lighter than the Mi-26," Kladov said on the sidelines of the X Russian-Chinese EXPO in Harbin.

He noted that the Mi-26 is the largest in the world, with a lifting capacity of 20 tons, the Mi-171 lifts 10-12 tons, and "the Chinese machine will have a lifting capacity of 14-16 tons, it will be heavier."
