OREANDA-NEWS Russia has developed the world's first unmanned training boat (BEC), the Makarovets. The Izvestia newspaper learned about this from representatives of the Pacific Higher Naval School (TOVVMU).
"It can perform the following tasks: a training boat; serve as a platform for testing various payload modules; act as a small surface target, that is, to simulate the enemy's back; perform the tasks of an unmanned mine reconnaissance boat," the university said.
The range of the device is ten kilometers, the maximum speed is ten knots. A pair of electric motors is used as the propulsion system. The product is equipped with radio communication and Wi-Fi. As a payload, the training back can carry underwater vehicles, a drone pad and a firearm module.
