OREANDA-NEWS  Variants of the design appearance of the elements of the lunar base have been developed. This is reported by TASS with reference to the report of the Rocket and Space Corporation (RSC) Energia for 2025.

"In 2025, work was carried out as part of the creation of a scientific and technical reserve to ensure the creation of an airlock and other components of lunar manned spacecraft. Proposals have been developed on options for the design of the airlock compartment and elements of the lunar base," the document says.

In April, Igor Marinin, a member of the public council of the Roscosmos state corporation, said on the radio channel "Listen!" on Radio Russia that Russia would assemble a nuclear power plant on the Moon in 2032.

In the same month, Dmitry Bakanov, CEO of the state corporation, announced at a meeting in the Federation Council that the Russian Academy of Sciences had approved the concept of the Russian segment of the International Lunar Research Station (ILRS), a joint International Scientific Lunar Station (MNLS) with the Chinese side.
