OREANDA-NEWS European countries continue to take initiatives that lead to increased international tension and escalation of conflicts. This was stated by Russia's Permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, on the social network X.

"The Europeans have repeatedly demonstrated their intention to provoke an escalation," the statement said.

As examples, Ulyanov cited plans to deploy European troops in Ukraine, as well as the possible dispatch of warships to the Strait of Hormuz, "where they are not needed."

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that a situation is currently developing in which the entire Western world is against Russia. "The situation is serious. The president does not hide this. The entire "civilized" world, which calls itself that, has turned against us," the Russian Foreign Minister said.
