OREANDA-NEWS  Vladimir Dzhabarov, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council's International Affairs Committee, called the statement by Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky about the possibility of meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin blue dreams. His words are quoted by Gazeta.Ru».

The senator listed the reasons why the meeting would not take place. In particular, he said that Zelensky was an illegitimate president, and also recalled that the Ukrainian leader had repeatedly rejected Russia's proposals to resolve the conflict. "We don't even know what to talk about with him (...) No withdrawal of troops from Donbass, no concessions, nothing. Just some kind of truce for a while. It is clear why — to take a deep breath, replenish weapons stocks, and so on. Therefore, I think that it is necessary to treat Zelensky's statements very calmly," Jabarov said.

Earlier, Zelensky offered places for a meeting with Putin. In his opinion, the meeting could take place in the Middle East, Europe or the United States.
