OREANDA-NEWS  The issue of a new meeting of the foreign ministers of Russia, Syria, Turkey and Iran is being discussed, but their schedules need to coincide, a source in the Russian diplomatic department told RIA Novosti.

"This issue is being discussed. But in order to achieve the result, it is necessary that the schedules of all ministers coincide. This is a process, it continues," the agency interlocutor said.

The first meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the four countries was held in Moscow on May 10. Following its results, the ministers ordered to prepare a draft roadmap for the normalization of relations between Turkey and Syria.
As Alexander Lavrentiev, the special representative of the Russian President for Syria, said earlier in an interview with RIA Novosti, Moscow handed over to Ankara and Damascus its draft roadmap for normalizing relations between the two sides, noting that they can make adjustments.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov earlier named priority topics of the roadmap. Among them is the solution of the task of restoring control of the Syrian government throughout the country, ensuring the security of the Syrian-Turkish border, excluding the possibility of cross-border attacks, infiltration of terrorists.
