OREANDA-NEWS  Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Botan-Kharchenko arrived at a meeting with Serbian President Alexander Vucic amid protests in Belgrade, RIA Novosti correspondent reports.

Prime Minister Anna Babic, in light of the violent protests in front of the Belgrade administration on Monday night, thanked the Russian special services for information about the upcoming riots. Vucic and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic have scheduled meetings with Russian Ambassador Botan-Kharchenko on Monday, as their press services reported earlier.

At about 9.00 (11.00 Moscow time), the car of the Russian Embassy arrived at the entrance to the residence of the President of Serbia. It is located at a distance of about 200 meters from the Assembly (representative body and administration) of Belgrade, where riots took place the day before. The head of the diplomatic mission and the embassy staff entered the building for a closed-door meeting with the head of state.
