OREANDA-NEWS  Russian citizens in Syria have been urged to leave the country due to the difficult military and political situation. The Russian Embassy in Damascus issued such a statement on its Telegram channel.

The diplomats reminded compatriots living in Syria about the possibility of leaving the republic on commercial flights through existing airports.

"The Embassy and the consular department continue to work normally," the message says.

Earlier it became known that terrorist groups began to enter the city of Homs in the province of the same name, opening the way to the Syrian capital Damascus.
