OREANDA-NEWS  Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy has been granted parole in the 2012 election campaign financing case and will not wear the electronic bracelet he was supposed to wear for six months, RTL radio station reported on Wednesday, citing a judicial source.

In November 2025, the Court of Cassation confirmed Sarkozy's sentence in the case dubbed "Bigmalion" - six months suspended and the same amount with an electronic bracelet, as well as a fine of 3,750 euros.
