Serbia was left without payments from the EU

OREANDA-NEWS The European Union (EU) has suspended all payments to Serbia due to the country's policy in the judicial system. This was stated at a press conference by the European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos, reports RTRS.
"At the moment, we have suspended all payments under the development plan, as there is a rollback in the judicial system again. Until this is fixed, the country will not be able to receive financial support from the EU," she said.
It is noted that Serbia was eligible to receive grants from the EU for legal reforms, despite the fact that the country is not a member of the organization.
Earlier it was reported that the EU wants to deprive Serbia of 1.5 billion euros in funding because of friendly relations with Russia. According to Politico, it was friendship with Moscow that caused the European Commission to toughen its position towards the Serbs.
