OREANDA-NEWS Sri Lanka has again changed the rules of entry for foreigners to the country — now the measure, according to which filling out an electronic permit (ETA) in advance has become mandatory, has been canceled. This was reported in the migration Department of the country.

The mandatory registration of an ETA before departure was introduced on October 15, but was canceled on the 30th of the same month. "The announcement, which stated that from October 15, 2025, obtaining an electronic entry permit (ETA) will become mandatory for all short-term visitors to Sri Lanka (tourists and business people), is canceled until further notice," the migration department said on its website.
