OREANDA-NEWS. Russia's special operation in Ukraine will not be limited solely to the Donbass, State Duma Deputy, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Alexander Borodai told NEWS.ru. He recalled that Russian President Vladimir Putin set goals for the denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine.

If the Russian Federation confines itself exclusively to the liberation of Donbass, then the rest of Ukraine will be under the rule of Zelensky and his gop company, but in fact under the rule of the United States and the collective West. Accordingly, Ukraine will remain in a state of maximally demilitarized and nazified and will continue to fight with Russia, because no one is interested in the fate of the local population and the West will continue to fight to the last Ukrainian,” Borodai said.

He believes that the way out of the special operation will be the complete surrender of Ukraine and the destruction of the regime of Vladimir Zelensky. The form and timing of the liberation of Ukraine from Western occupation may be different, the deputy summed up.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the next phase of the Russian special operation was beginning in Ukraine. The Minister recalled that the operation is aimed at the complete liberation of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics.

Lavrov also noted that Russia had no choice but to recognize the DPR and LPR, since Ukraine intensified shelling of the territories of the republics. According to the minister, the West deliberately used Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky against Russia in order to go against the Minsk agreements. Lavrov added that Zelensky is constantly changing his point of view, so his statements should not be taken seriously.
