OREANDA-NEWS  The Gulfstream IV electronic reconnaissance aircraft of the Swedish Air Force is conducting reconnaissance over the territory of Finland near the borders of the Russian Federation, RIA Novosti found out based on flight data.

The aircraft took off from the Swedish Air Force base in Linkoping at about 10.00 Moscow time, entered Finnish airspace and began to move along the Russian border, covering the segment between St. Petersburg and Petrozavodsk.

Swedish Gulfstream regularly performs reconnaissance flights near the Russian borders. The aircraft conducts reconnaissance not only near the western borders of the Russian Federation, but also sometimes flies over the Black Sea near Crimea.
