OREANDA-NEWS  The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Thailand, Sihasak Phuangketkeu, announced the strengthening of tourist safety measures in the country after the massacre of the Nazimov brothers and sisters from Russia. This is reported by TASS.

The official stressed that Thailand is a major tourist destination, and when a crime occurs in such a place, it undermines the confidence of travelers. "And therefore, we must show with real actions that we are determined to ensure greater security and prevent such incidents from happening again," concluded Phuangketkeu.

According to the Thai Foreign Minister, even with the best security measures, there will always be criminal elements that exploit vulnerable people. "And we, first of all, on the part of the government, must do more," he stated.

Earlier it became known that after the discovery of the Nazimovs' bodies, Phuangketkeu and the country's Prime Minister, Anuthin Chanvirakun, called the Russian Ambassador in Bangkok, Yevgeny Tomikhin. They expressed their condolences in connection with the tragedy.
