OREANDA-NEWS  The American CV-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft, assigned to the Yokota Air Base, made an emergency landing at the airfield of the Utsunomiya Land Self-Defense Forces of Japan in Tochigi Prefecture, Kyodo news agency reports, citing the country's Ministry of Defense.

The incident occurred on August 10.

It is noted that the Japanese Ministry of Defense had informed the relevant local authorities about the incident by August 12. There are no other details yet.
