OREANDA-NEWS  Russian tour operators offer various tours to Abkhazia, but they are all of high quality, even low-cost, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) has reported.

Earlier, insulting statements by the founder and president of the Cinema Foundation of Abkhazia, Alexander Basaria, were distributed on social networks to Russian tourists who allegedly spend little money on vacation, and large tour operators in Abkhazia allegedly threaten the economic security of the republic. The Abkhaz Ministry of Culture condemned these statements, telling RIA Novosti that the Cinema Foundation of Abkhazia is private and has no relation to the state structures of the republic.

The Ministry of Tourism of Abkhazia also called provocative statements by the head of the Cinema Foundation about Russian tourists and recalled the importance of guests from the Russian Federation for the republic.
