OREANDA-NEWS   The Russian Federation and the United States possess 90% of the total nuclear arsenal in the world, they should protect global stability and not jeopardize the security of countries, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said at a briefing on Friday.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump said he planned to discuss reducing nuclear capabilities with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese Leader Xi Jinping and allowed a trilateral summit to be held.

"It is internationally recognized that the United States and Russia possess more than 90% of the world's nuclear weapons. Nuclear disarmament must follow basic principles, including maintaining global strategic stability and ensuring that the security of all countries is not jeopardized," Guo Jiakun said.
