The court upheld the decision to recover 200 billion euros from Euroclear

OREANDA-NEWS The Ninth Arbitration Court of Appeal rejected Euroclear Bank's appeal against the decision of the Moscow Arbitration Court, which in May recovered about 200 billion euros from the Belgian bank in favor of the Bank of Russia, a participant in the closed-door meeting told RIA Novosti.
"The decision was upheld," the agency's source said.
On May 15, the court of first Instance fully satisfied the claim of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation against Euroclear, collecting losses from the defendant in seven currencies totaling about 200 billion euros.
After the Court of Appeal rejected the defendant's complaint, the decision of the court of first instance entered into force.
Earlier, on May 26, the court, at the request of the Bank of Russia, turned this decision into immediate execution, and on June 2 issued a writ of execution to the Bank of Russia for the execution of the decision.
