OREANDA-NEWS A group of African countries is agreeing on the terms and time of its trip to Moscow and Kiev to present there its proposed initiative to find ways to peacefully resolve the conflict in Ukraine. This was stated on Tuesday by the official representative of the President of South Africa Vincent Magwenya.

"The conditions of the trip are being worked out with Russia and Ukraine," he said. - A group of African heads of state is preparing for the trip. Further meetings will take place on the sidelines of the Russia-Africa summit."

South African President Cyril Ramaposa said on Tuesday that the authorities of Russia and Ukraine agreed to receive a delegation of African countries in order to find a peaceful settlement of the conflict. He noted that he discussed the possibility of this initiative in telephone conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, who agreed to receive the African delegation in Moscow and Kiev.

According to information received by TASS in Pretoria, a delegation consisting of the heads of several African countries may visit Russia and Ukraine even before the start of the Russia-Africa summit in St. Petersburg in July. "The specific preparation of the travel schedule is underway, the corresponding coordination with Moscow and Kiev is underway," the agency interlocutor noted.
