The EU complained about the lack of dialogue with Russia

OREANDA-NEWS One of Europe's key problems is the inability to restore dialogue with Russia. This was stated by Fernand Kartheiser, a member of the European Parliament (EP) from Luxembourg, as quoted by RIA Novosti.
"For me, the problem is not so much dialogue at the parliamentary level, but rather unblocking the issue of Russia at the governmental level, at the level of the European Union. That's the whole problem, and we haven't even started to solve it yet," the MEP said.
According to Kartheiser, the lack of political will of the governments of the EU member states "hinders any attempts to restore relations with Moscow."
Earlier, the head of the European Council, Antonio Costa, said that the EU is currently discussing not possible negotiations with Russia, but ways to put pressure on it and continue supporting Ukraine. He also stressed that the European Union "does not want to be a mediator," as it stands on the side of Ukraine and supports it.
