OREANDA-NEWS  The EU Council decided on Tuesday to extend for 36 months, until September 22, 2029, the restrictive measures against those responsible, in the EU's opinion, "for undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine."

The council's communique states that the current restrictive measures apply to more than 3,000 individuals and legal entities and include a ban on "entry or relocation to the EU for individuals, asset freezes, as well as a ban on providing funds or other economic resources to individuals and organizations included in the sanctions list."

The report clarifies that "as part of the review of the sanctions regime, the council decided not to extend sanctions against three individuals and one legal entity, as well as to exclude three deceased persons from the list."

The document does not name these individuals and organizations. They will be published in the "Official Journal" of the European Union.
