OREANDA-NEWS  Europe is preparing for an energy supply and pricing crisis due to the war between the United States and Israel against Iran. This was reported by the Spanish newspaper El Pais.

The publication noted that the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, through which about 20 percent of the world's oil and gas passes, and attacks on the energy infrastructure of the Persian Gulf countries are causing fluctuations in the markets. "And European consumers can already afford it," the author of the article noted. It is noted that Brussels is already working on a scenario for the introduction of emergency measures.

Earlier, Igbal Guliyev, Dean of the MGIMO Faculty of Financial Economics, Doctor of Economics, said that the countries of the European Union (EU) risk being in a systemic fuel crisis, as in 2022, due to the suspension of energy supplies from the Persian Gulf countries.
