However, as the publication noted, joining the EU's protectionist trade measures in key industries would limit the freedom of action the UK has gained after leaving the European Union and would lead to higher prices for consumers. However, Europeans are concerned that an ultra-competitive, globalized United Kingdom may appear at their borders, which will also turn into a back door through which Chinese goods will enter the European market.
