The Federation Council Called on Zelensky to Fulfill the Agreements on Donbass
“You can't trust Zelensky at all. It's impossible to believe him until he really does something, until he does what was promised. When he does, then you can continue the conversation with him and talk about the need to negotiate and move on, ”the senator said.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the time has come to substantively negotiate a de-escalation in Donbass. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
“Kiev is ready for the necessary decisions during the Normandy format summit,” the Ukrainian leader said.
At the same time, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, after a meeting with the adviser to the German Chancellor on foreign policy Jens Platner and the diplomatic adviser to the President of France Emmanuel Bonn, said that the parties hope that Russia will also make active efforts to resume effective work in the Normandy format.
Earlier, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that at the present time it is impossible to talk about success in the negotiations on Ukraine, despite the recent conversation of the deputy head of the presidential administration Dmitry Kozak with colleagues from Germany and France.
Kozak, in turn, said that Berlin and Paris do not see an alternative to the Minsk agreements.
On January 8, co-chairman of the Opposition Platform - For Life party, Yuriy Boyko, said that if there is political will, the conflict in Donbass can be ended in six months. According to him, first of all, Ukraine needs to withdraw its troops and adopt appropriate laws.
