OREANDA-NEWS  The first Anduril YFQ-44A drone of the Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) program for the Air Force USA rolled off the assembly line of a factory in Ohio. Defense News writes about this.

The publication draws attention to the fact that about four months have passed since the launch of production to the release of the first sample of the drone. The portal reminds that the YFQ-44A will become a medium-range missile carrier and will be able to act as a wingman for the lead fighter.

Anduril has not yet announced the number of YFQ-44A drones that the plant will produce, but according to the publication, the production line is capable of producing 150 drones per year.

In July, the TWZ portal noticed that the YFQ-44A Fury unmanned aerial vehicle of the American company Anduril fired an AIM—120 Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM) guided missile for the first time.

In November, Breaking Defense, citing the US Air Force, reported that the prototype of the YFQ-44A drone, created as a wing drone for fifth-generation F-35 fighters, made its first flight.
