OREANDA-NEWS  The speech of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at a meeting of the UN Security Council brought everyone back to earth. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, RIA Novosti reports.

According to her, the statements made before the Foreign Minister's speech did not reflect the historical context.

"Sergey Viktorovich Lavrov began to speak and just brought everyone back to the historical context, so that from even the best of such a flight of thought, the highest and probably the most correct in theory, everyone returned to earth," Zakharova stressed.

Earlier, Lavrov pointed out the duplicity of the UN Secretariat due to the different attitude towards the recognition of the right to self-determination of residents of Donbass and Crimea and citizens of Greenland.
