The government has extended the temporary ban on the export of industrial sulfur

OREANDA-NEWS The temporary ban on the export of technical sulfur in Russia has been extended until December 31, 2026, the decision is aimed at maintaining fertilizer production volumes, as well as ensuring the country's food security, the Russian government said in a statement.
Restrictions on the export of sulfur were introduced on November 1, 2025 to stabilize the shipment of raw materials to the domestic market. The ban has been extended twice, the last time until June 30 of this year.
"Russia has extended a temporary ban on the export of certain types of sulfur, which is a critically important raw material for the mineral fertilizers industry. The decision is aimed at maintaining the current production volumes of fertilizers and ensuring the country's food security," the report says.
